Two mellow days of minimal work, maximal freestyle, excessive eating and sleeping. Took a one-hour walk yesterday and today around the camp perimeter. Today, met and spoke briefly with a light tan and white squirrel with a great sense of humor. Quite a sprinter, as well.
Topped off last night's dinner with "The Porcupine." The Porcupine is an animal of a dessert. Directions: take two scoops of ice cream, flavor of choice; use Twix bars to make legs and good luck getting the ice cream body to stand up on them (I skipped this step, because I assembled out of order); use M&Ms to make eyes and nose on one end; use broken Oreo to make scary or happy mouth; break Kit Kat into eight or so pieces and stick all over the scoops so they "porcupine out"; make sure one piece of Kit Kat sticks out the back for a tail; eat as fast as you can before your body realizes what is happening and shuts down; fall asleep in nearest cold, dark inside-type area, e.g. base theater or hooch or at desk.
Reading Ralph W. Emerson "Walden" and "Civil Disobedience." Brewed up a fresh pot of Seattle's Best Bright blend. Think I'll move to Laguna and throw away all my shirts, or Seattle and throw away my watch. "Welcome to the Center of the Universe."
